Okies if all you knowledgeable ladies would kindly help us wanting to learn out and tell us what is and isnt safe to use in scrap booking or how to tell the difference that would be great. If someone isnt sure about an item pherhaps we could post it here and get a yes or no from someone more expereinced?

Feathers? My pet duck has been leaving his feathers all over the lawn and one day when picking them up decided I would put them in the art boox as I am sure there will be some use for them - pherhaps a visit to the farm scrap book page? I have quite a few saved here now if they are ok to use (maybe the natural oil a prob?) and anyone would like some real and humanely collected ones I am happy to send you some in return for some tips.

Hair? In the baby book mum made for me as a child it has a length of her hair plaited and then laid in a coil on the page.

Dried flowers? How do you make flowers dead, dry and flat without going all icky? How do you mount them on the page?

Ink from a ink pad? Is there a way to seal it so it is more resistant to dampness?

Paint? What sort do you need to use?

Potato stamps? Now this is more low end but I have a bit of expereince making stamps from potatoes, simply cut in half across and then carve a shape, the excess bits (not the shape you want) should be cut away to a depth of 1 cm or so. Simply place paint on and then stamp away. Maybe would work with ink? Would the potato juice be detrimental to the scrap booking?

There is a spray you can get now it makes everything acid free so those feathers and hair you could spray with this stuff and make it acid free so it would be safe.
