The album I have done for my daughter detailing the pregnancy I had, not really scrapbooking I dont think but along the same sort of lines but with a lot less professionalism, got wet the other day and now is looking rather shabby!! I dried it with a hairdryer and some of the pages appear fine but quite a few have discolouring from non permanent pens, torn/water damaged photos etc. Any ideas how I could repair some of the damage and for albums in the future how to prevent/protect them from damage?

Oh no so sorry to hear that. Have any of the photos been damaged. I am not too sure what you can do to repair photos do you still have the negatives.
What other things were in the book?

The main damage is to the photos but yes I do have most of the negatives for them, theres a pic taken by digital camera and just printed normaly which has some runs etc. The other is to the paper pages itself, because we did not realise book had got wet immediately it started to dry and pages stuck together so when I seperated them some of the face of the pages stuck to the one it was facing etc leaving bald spots if you can understand what I mean. I'd take pics but my camera is no good at night regardless of the amount of light put on the subject.

Oh thats a shame.
How long did it take you to make the book.
Would it be too hard to try and start again?

I've thought of that but it wouldn't have the same feel to it even if I copied it word for word and pic for pic. And nowdays with two kids I dont have the time to keep the current ones up to date!

Oh NO... I hope you can get it all together...

It would be totally worth it to do it all again.

Thanks everyone, I have fixed it up as good as it will get now I think. Its in one of them pre set out books you write about the type of pregnancy you had.
