How do u shop for supplies?

Do u just go shopping and see something u like and think oh I can use that for such and such page or do u sort out the pics first and then think ok I need to get X and X supplies to do this page?

I rarely scrap anymore :( So I don't buy anything anymore.

I havent scrapped for ages either, but I want to get back into it.
I went through a stage where I was buying so much so I gave myself a rule that I must use what I have b4 I buy more but then I stopped scrapping cause I only had all the same old bring crap that I had used already so now I am slowly looking at all the pics I have and thinking about what Pages I wanna do and getting some new supplies.
