View Full Version : Shan's sewing blog
Well looks like i will be the only one posting in here but any who ilikeit
These are a pair of flongies ( fleecey water proof pants to wear over a fitted nappy ) I made for little noah on mothers day 11/5/08 the day i got my sewing machine they are my very first sewing project and im pretty proud of how they turned out . I need to make the next pair a little bigger as these only just fit him and i dont see them fitting over a bulky night nappy .

Kristy this is my first time using a machine so im just learning .
That would be greeat kelly you could give me some tips .
Mer i just used this wenpage for the apron (http://www.spotlight.com.au/__data/page/12483/ApronMittens.pdf) and the pants from another site but i had to chop and change the pant to get it that size and need to alter it a bit more to make it a tiny bit biger and a few cms longer .

I dont even undersatnd the pattern directions. Fussy cut?
Aww Shan they look really good.
Good on you, i wouldn't know where to start.
I wouldnt mind the pattern for the flongies - they would make great day pants for N at home..
i dont know what fussy cut is either lol.
Im currently making new covers for my lounge throw cushions seeing as the ones we have all have food stains from the kids lol but since we have moved we now have 2 lounge rooms and they dont need to go in the front one .
The fussy cut to show the motif means you dont have to cut it in line. You can cut it any which way to get the motif on it..
Ok well i have been busy tonight lol .
I made my cushion covers Yeah .
I used fake suede , cord and spot minky fleece :) they feel lush if i do say so myself i think my cat is going to love them ;)
My new cushions

I miss my sewing machine. It's in storage and there is no room here in this house to set it up.
