Help... Edging on text

Hi gals...

Just wondering if anyone knew how to help me figure out how to use the white edging (or any colour edging) around the text that some of you have been using.

Is it a special font i have to download, or is it available on Paint Shop Pro as a tool?

I don't have paint shop pro.

but in photoshop it's the stroke option when you open the details of the layer (if that makes sense).

emily_callie ~ Your siggy is a perfect example of what i mean by the white edging/glow.

I installed Adobe Photoshop 8.0 last night, so i may have a go of it later tonight :)
