learning to sew?

My husband is buying me a Jernome sewing machine and they give u a free intro session to teach u how to sew and how to work it.

but I want to do more training so I just wanna know is there anyone out there or know of a place that I can learn.

Spotlights run courses.. But it's easy as, start with simple patterns as they all come with instructions and explainations of terrms and you always have the net to look other things up.. Find a good sewing site :)

it's really not that hard, especially if you use patterns

If they are giving you one class when he buys it, ask them if the do more.

I know that some sewing club meets at Lincraft at penrith, but i dont have any details of it either.

Or you could just shout out to those who sew, if you need a question answered

Thanks so much! I so wanna learn how to do it. My husband thinks its a waste of money buying something he thinks I won't use but I think I will cause i wanna make dresses for my daughter just like my grandmother did for me she was a amazing sewer (I wish she was still alive :( )
but I cann't wait to get it and get the pretty fabrics and paterns so excited!

sewing is easy once you get the hang of it if i was over your way id come help you whenever i was jobless i used to fall back on sewing you could always get work
and if i see a dress or top i like and cant afford i turn it inside out and take a mental pattern go home and make it for next to nothing its a great skill to have if you have any questions just ask away but i have to admit if im using a shop pattern i never follow the instuctions i just cut it out and put it together i always found the insructions confusing lol i think i always take the shorcuts lol

I make most of my own stuff cause you just cant get the vintage styles anymore..
