Basic Neccesities(sp?) for scrapbooking

Hey ladies i was just wondering what are the basic things you need for scrap booking is it actually done in a scrap book? lol this is how dumb i am. but i want to start scrapbooking and make a baby book for heidi so what sort of paper would i use for this or what sort of book?

Depends on what type of album you want to use.

you can get 12 x 12, 12 x 10 (a4 size really), 6 x6 etc

12 x 12 is the easiest for me.

Kmart have great deals. you ca get 200 sheets of 12 x12 paper (in a pack) for around $20.
Albums vary from $10 to $70

Things to get:
Double sided acid free tape
scissors (one for paper and one for other stuff)
A black marker
acid free glue
eyelets
ribbon
stickers.

Get a starter kit. You can get baby ones. Start off with that and see how you go.

yeah if you can find her, i haven't seen her in ages.


oh and a lighter. very handy to use, esp for ribbon, to burn the edges so they seal themselves.

New to scrapbooking? Here is a list of the basic tools you will need.

Papers
Basic Paper - for mats, frames, etc - lightweight in colors and/or patterns
Cardstock - for the background of the pages
Cutting Tools
Regular Scissor
Portable paper trimmer - Nice to have - not necessary in the beginning
Small Scissors
Adhesives
Paper adhesive
Photo adhesive
Ruler
Pencil, pencil sharpener and Art Gum eraser
Black archival pen for journaling
Of course, you would need an album and page protectors.

kmart, bigw have a great selection hun, the reason I started with them is cause the Scrapbook shops are expensive but its up to you hun where you get ya stuff.

scrapbook shops sell the same stuff really but double the price

ahhhh i find crazy clarks and the 2 buck shop good for bargins atm

or opshops they allways have good things for embelishments

yea i sujest stock up before u start tho cause it gets addictive fast

and i ran out and now im itching to get more stickers paper and embelishments lol
