Do you remember making paper snowflakes as a child?

For a fun embellishing technique on your winter scrapbook pages, why not try an "upscale" version of this old theme?

Let's create the snowflakes from vellum, and then embellish them with rhinestones, sequins, and tiny mirrors.

This activity is perfect for winter days when you are looking for a project to do with the kids.

You can make vellum snowflakes for future scrapbook pages, while the children make paper snowflakes to decorate the refrigerator.

Don't forget to snap a couple photos of you creating together so that you could even make a scrapbook page about making snowflakes.

Materials Needed for Embellished Snowflakes:

Vellum cut into 3", 2 1/2", and 2" squares
Clear and light blue rhinestones, small square mirrors, and loose silver sequins
Mini GlueDots
